This Link-Belt FX3-U200N series standard-duty ball bearing flange unit has a cast iron housing with two bolt holes, single lip seal, and spring-locking collar. This non-expansion type bearing unit is designed for mounting onto bearing surfaces perpendicular to the shaft axis. This ready-to-mount flange unit has a one-piece housing made of cast iron for rigidity and vibration damping. It has a powder coating for corrosion resistance, a grease fitting on the outer surface for reapplying lubricant, and a machined mounting surface for increased stability. The double-sealed, deep-groove ball bearing insert in the housing is made of chromium steel and is rated "standard duty" for applications with moderate radial loads, and light to moderate thrust or combination loads. It has an extended inner ring for increased shaft support, and a convex sphered outer surface that compensates for misalignments. Seals on both sides of the bearing consisting of a land-riding lip and external trash guard retain lubricant applied at manufacture and help protect against contaminants.
